Diane Apostolos-Cappadona is professor of religious art and cultural history in the Catholic Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies Programs at Georgetown University. She is the author of the Encyclopedia of Women in Religious Art (Continuum, 1996); Dictionary of Christian Art (Continuum, 1994); and In Search of Mary Magdalene: Images and Traditions (American Bible Society, 2002).
